This dude is such a Boehner
Ok, so I occasionally rag on this administration for sucking in basically every aspect of administrating. But, there are so many more people who I should make fun of and/or rant about. Like, Denny Hastert. It's good to see Mark Foley still have a job. Along with everyone else still. Nope. Nobody at fault for that one at all.
But, today I turn my attention to House Majority Leader John Boehner. Now, I first mentioned him with my Hastert rant. It seems that Boehner had a conversation in the spring about Mark Foley possibly being inappropriate with pages. Hastert denied that. Well, no, Hastert called Boehner a liar. Hastert said no such conversation happened.
Now, I know Hastert, while entirely incompetent, is still above the Boehner in terms of rank. Also Hastert is only 2 steps removed from the Presidency. If that doesn't make you shudder then you are probably dead, and/or in denial about the state of this country. But, anyways, I would have liked to hear Boehner's response to being called a liar. Did he just take it? That's not what a Boehner is supposed to do.
But the real story is Boehner jamming his foot so far in his mouth he can feel a breeze today. Today, Boehner said, are you ready for it: "Let's not blame what's happening in Iraq on Rumsfeld." Wolf Blitzer responds with "But he's in charge of the military." Boehner's response? "The fact is, the generals on the ground are in charge, and he works closely with them and the president."
Um, Boehner is a Republican from Ohio. I don't know if I should mention where he's from or not, but somehow, I can appreciate that he said this the very same week that the Daily Show is in his home state.
So, Boehner, passive aggressively comes out and blames the GENERALS IN IRAQ for the shortcomings over there.
Of course, it's not like the generals actually get missions. And I'm pretty sure all of the generals got together and voted to go to war in Iraq. Actually, I remember hearing a story about this in 2003. The generals all had a magic video come through on their special General Watches saying to pick up their General Phones and get plans to meet at the secret General Lair. Once at the Lair, the vote to go into a failing war in Iraq was 25-1, with the one against the war being General Competence. I remember hearing about this meeting on my magic tv that makes up a bunch of bullshit to cover everyone in my political party's ass.
So, obviously the generals are at fault here. And if that's not what Boehner is saying, then he's blaming Rumsfeld. Or he's shrugging his shoulders. Ladies and gentlemen, another Dusty fucking Baker.
Also, I'm pretty sure it's the generals' fault that the mission is to try to bring democracy to a country where the insurgents care nothing about stability as long as they can make America look bad. And, I bet it was the generals' idea to go over with too few soldiers and not enough equipment.
If there's anyone who shouldn't be blamed, it's Rumsfeld. He's a really busy dude. He's constantly trying to cover his own ass. And he's always asked a bunch of crazy questions, like when will this war end, and why aren't there enough supplies for our soldiers. He doesn't have the answers people! He's not the president! (Note: the president doesn't have the answers either.)
As an aside, do you think Rumsfeld loved Hurricane Katrina? I mean, not loved it, but the fallout from that saved his ass from like 4 months of questioning. I bet that was a nice vacation. And, in complete honesty, that had nothing to do with him. Unless he has a weather machine. And I'm drafting a thesis in which I believe he does.
Basically, the point here is that no one should be held accountable. Unless its the Democrats. They're the ones who are controlling the Republicans, making them make all of these bad decisions. You can't blame it on the Republicans, who control the House, the Senate, the White House, and, basically the Supreme Court. Nope. Or maybe blame it on the people who want the terrorists to win. Which is apparently everyone who disagrees with the President.
I seem to have gotten off-topic a little bit. Basically, I'm glad John Boehner has the balls to come out and say that Rumsfeld is getting a bad wrap. Hey man, he's just trying to do his job. Sure, he's barely trying at all. And most people who work at McDonald's try harder to do their job than he's trying to do his. Or maybe he's trying really hard to do a really shitty job. No matter what, it's not his fault, it's the generals.
Where do they get these missions from anyways? Who controls the military again? I bet the generals want the terrorists to win.
John Boehner: Fucktard.
