Weekend in Review

Ok, this weekend was absolutely ridiculously awesome, but if there's one thing taking away from it, it's the fact that I still feel like I'm going to die. But I'll try to piece this weekend together.

Friday night we get to The Leap as I'm going to call it (it was a really nice cabin) probably around 8. I think. We had been there maybe 30 minutes, unloading and checking things out, then I made a drink. A couple drinks later, we all decided to jump into the hot tub. I'm assuming sometime around 10 was the quote of the night. The final car of people (there were 10 total) got there, and instead of saying 'hi' or anything, the first thing loho says is "Josh drank himself retarded." I don't remember that, I had to be told. That's probably the last thing I distinctly remember from that night. Also that night, mozzarella sticks had been made, and then the plate was taken out to the hot tub (I think we got out then got back in?) and one was dropped in. Immediately after that the mozzarella sticks were taken back inside.

Woke up at 9 Saturday. Actually, I'm not sure what it was, there weren't many clocks around and some phones stayed on central time, others were on eastern, and I can't remember which I looked at. Regardless, I was the first one up. Well, maybe not technically, since I remember being poked in the back of the head like 8 times, which woke me up. Anyways, after lying in bed for about 15 minutes, I remembered that a smiley face had been drawn on my chest, so I washed that off. Then I went downstairs, saw that I had very little of the fifth of captain left, then found a camera. That wasn't mine. From that point on I took pictures of just about everyone sleeping and a lot of random stuff too. We're talking like 60 pictures. Ok, maybe 30-40. Around 10 we went and found the beach, then came back and just about everyone was up. After breakfast (which was at like 11:30), we went to get some stuff in New Buffalo, then came back and went to the beach. We were there until about 3:30, and I think I opened the first beer at 3:40. Well, we ate lunch, played celebrity, went in the hot tub (maybe?), ate dinner, probably back to the hot tub. Around 11:40 (I think) we started watching Silent Hill. We got about an hour in and we were about to pass out, so we went to bed.

Slept late the next day, till like 10:45 or so, and I actually felt pretty good. I think I counted that I'd had 16 beers. After breakfast we all started watching the VMA's and after seeing something stupid I was like, ok I need a drink. I think that was around 1:30. I got through 5 beers pretty fast, and we were playing more celebrity, then we went to the beach. Of course, we couldn't have alcohol on the beach, so it wore off pretty fast. But guitar on the beach was fairly fun. Also, playing 500 in the ocean was pretty cool too. So came back, not sure what time, but continued to drink. We had tacos for dinner and they were amazing. After that I don't remember a whole lot. We finished watching Silent Hill, then we started having our own little dance party. I think it actually lasted quite a while too. At one point I remember putting 2 marshmallows in my mouth and immediately saying "that was a terrible idea". People thought I might throw up, since I'd downed like 14 beers or so at that point. I was like, "no, it was a terrible idea because now my beer is going to taste awful". You have to have your priorities in line people.

Well, I have no idea what time we went to bed, but Sarah and I continued to have our own dance party in bed, and at first we were trying to be quiet, but that didn't last too long. Woke up the next day at 8 (central) packed up, and went to breakfast. Of course, I felt like I was going to be sick until about 10. I managed to finish all of my beer, plus either 2 or 3 Miller Lites. Drove back home, which was absolutely horrible. Then I tried not to die. I've been in a lot of pain since I woke up yesterday, and it still hasn't stopped. Best. Labor. Day. Weekend. Ever.

Update: I realize I said 500 in the ocean. I don't want to have to go into the details of how a lake is connected to the ocean through a series of canals, rivers, and streams, not to mention that they both contain water, so I stand by my original statement.

Question: Since when was the ocean located anywhere close to Michigan? Did someone rearrange the entire United States like a child who can't put together a puzzle and not tell me?
